The First Onsen Breakfast

Delightfully, Breakfast had a similar (thought slightly more restrained) diversity of flavors to dinner.  Also, the first one came in the most awesome three stage bento serving system.  Absolutely gorgeous presentation.

I continually marveled at the aesthetic care and design sense being put into each plate.

These little river fish were included with our breakfast.  Delicious.

Shabu-shabu is a dish that is cooked at the table--you boil your ingredients in broth as you eat and chat with your dining companions.  It's delightful.  This restaurant did it for breakfast, with some of the best thinly sliced meats I've ever had.  You know, because that's how they do Monday mornings around here, apparently.
