"Public" Bath time.

The next morning, I walked down this hallway to the public baths before breakfast.

This is a 360 degree panorama.  I'll check when I get home about feeding it into some software so you can look around. It was a really lovely hallway.

When I got down to the baths, I discovered that no-one else was using them, and so I took the liberty of showing you what the layout and setup of an onsen public bath is like.

Here's the locker and freshen-up room where you leave your clothes and dry your hair after you finish in the Onsen.

There's a little dryer-your-self-off water-lock so that you can keep from dripping everywhere in the room where people are getting dressed/undressed, which is helpful.

Bathing area to the right (where you shower off before getting in the Onsen) and indoor Onsen on the right.  You can see at the back of the pool a log with notches cut in it, those are to recline against and rest your head in while you sit in the Onsen, they're super comfy.   Behind the indoor Onsen is the door to the outside one.

The outdoor area.  The snow was crisp and bright and lovely to sit and ponder while you soaked in the hot water.

The view from inside the Onsen (hurray water-resistant modern electronics).

After a lovely clean up and soak, it was time for breakfast.
